Coffee machines we repair
Bean-to-cup machines
Fully automatic machines that grind, tamp, brew and often froth milk at the touch of a button. They are popular in homes and offices, and they have the most components: grinder, brew unit, pump, heater, valves, milk system and electronics. Common brands include De'Longhi, Jura, Philips, Saeco, Siemens, Bosch, Krups and Smeg.
Manual and semi-automatic espresso machines
Machines with a portafilter that you fill and tamp yourself, with a steam wand for milk. They are simpler but rely on good seals, a healthy pump, a clean group head and the right temperature. Common brands include Breville, De'Longhi, Gaggia and Smeg.
Pod and capsule machines
Compact machines that use pre-filled capsules. Faults are usually pumps, heaters, scale and capsule mechanisms.
Small cafe and office machines
We repair smaller commercial and office machines. For large multi-group cafe machines, tell us what you have and we will advise.
Common coffee machine faults
Weak, watery or cold coffee
Usually scale reducing water flow and heat, a blocked brew unit or group head, a grinder set too coarse or worn, or a failing heater or thermoblock.
Machine leaking water
Worn seals and O-rings, a cracked water tank, a loose drip tray, a blocked brew unit causing water to overflow, or internal tube and valve leaks.
No water flow or pump noise without coffee
Scale blocking the system, an empty or badly seated water tank, an air lock, or a failing pump.
Grinder not grinding or noisy
Beans too oily, a foreign object such as a small stone among the beans, a jammed or worn burr, or a failed grinder motor.
Milk system not frothing
Milk residue blocking the frother, a worn seal, a blocked steam wand or a steam valve fault.
Error lights or messages
Descale warnings, brew unit errors, water tank or drip tray sensors, or temperature faults. Note the light pattern or message and send it to us.
Machine will not switch on
A power supply fault, a blown thermal fuse, or a control board fault, sometimes after a power surge.
Scale: the biggest cause of coffee machine faults
Every coffee machine heats water, and heating water deposits mineral scale. Scale narrows pipes, coats heating elements and blocks valves. It makes coffee weaker and cooler, makes the pump work harder and eventually causes blockages and leaks. Hard borehole water, common in parts of our area, makes it worse.
Regular descaling with the right product, and using a water filter where your machine supports one, is the single best thing you can do for your coffee machine.

How a repair works
1. Tell us the problem. Call or WhatsApp with the symptoms, any error message and a photo of the machine's model plate (usually underneath or behind the water tank). 2. Diagnosis. Depending on the machine and fault, we assess it at your home or office, or collect it for workshop repair. 3. Quote first. You get the price before any work starts. 4. Repair, service and test. We repair the fault, service the machine and test-brew. 5. Guarantee. Our workmanship is guaranteed in writing.
Is it worth repairing?
Quality bean-to-cup and espresso machines are expensive, and most faults are repairable at a fraction of the replacement cost. Seals, descaling, brew unit servicing and pump replacement are usually very worthwhile. On inexpensive capsule machines, a major fault may cost more than a new machine, and we will tell you honestly.

Frequently asked questions
How often should I descale my coffee machine?
It depends on how much you use it and how hard your water is. Follow the machine's descale warning, and descale more often if you have hard or borehole water.
Can you repair my machine at home, or do you take it away?
Many repairs and services can be done on site. Some faults need workshop time, in which case we collect and return the machine.
Do you repair office coffee machines?
Yes. We repair and service coffee machines for offices and small businesses.
Are you an authorised agent for De'Longhi, Jura or other brands?
No. We are an independent repair company. If your machine is still under the manufacturer's warranty, contact the manufacturer or retailer first.
