Our area runs from Kenton-on-Sea in the east, through Gqeberha and Kariega, to Jeffreys Bay, Humansdorp and St Francis Bay in the west. It is a beautiful stretch of coast, but it is hard on appliances. In our day-to-day work we see the same local problems again and again:

• Salt air. Sea spray corrodes aircon outdoor units, fridge condenser coils and the electrical terminals behind stoves, especially in beachfront suburbs like Summerstrand, Wavecrest, Aston Bay and the St Francis canals.
• Wind and sand. Gqeberha's wind and the dunes around Jeffreys Bay push sand and dust into outdoor units and washing machine pumps.
